Why keep chicken incubation records? From years of personal experience hatching chicks in an incubator, it is helpful to remember what you did from year to year that worked well and what you need to improve next time.
Over the years, I would make scattered, scribbled notes about our chicken incubating and chick hatching each spring. I would misplace the notes and not remember where they were from year to year to reference what we did, what worked well and things we could improve.
I like to keep things organized around the homestead so it’s a wonder it took me so long to sit down and create these handy chicken egg incubation record forms!
I absolutely love using our printable Chicken Egg Incubation Record forms when we run our incubator full of chicken eggs. By keeping these organized, detailed notes, I can keep all the information in one, organized spot.
Candling your eggs more than twice in 21 days? No problem! Print two copies of page 2, Egg Candling Records.
If you have more than one incubator like we do, I suggest keeping a separate Chicken Egg Incubation Record for each incubator. We’ve noticed differences in temperature/humidity levels in our two different incubators and are closely tracking our chick hatch rates in each incubator to see how these differences may impact our chick health and overall hatch rate.
