1 cup nutritional yeast (I prefer this brand)

      1 1/2 Tablespoons sea salt

      3 Tablespoons onion powder

      3 Tablespoons dry parsley

      1 Tablespoon garlic powder

      2 teaspoons celery seed

      2 teaspoons dried thyme

      2 teaspoons paprika

      1 teaspoon turmeric

      1 teaspoon ground pepper

      Recipe Directions:
Blend all the ingredients and chop in a food processor or spice grinder until it is a fine powder. Store in an airtight container.

Mix 1 teaspoon of chicken bouillon powder in 1 cup boiling water to create a broth.

It’s for vegetarians I guess. My friend says it does work very well for making a soup or gravy.

Because it tastes like chicken but it’s not. That’s what faux means. Duh.

Now I'm teaching my own children these skills on our little homestead in Montana. I'm sharing these vintage skills here so you too can live a simple, more connected homemade life- one canning jar at a time! Read more...
