I am a Master Gardener, Master Naturalist and Primitive Skills Instructor as well as a homeschooling parent. I have been sharing how-to homesteading tutorials on our website Montana Homesteader since 2013.

I teach a wide variety of classes on topics such as gardening, beekeeping, vermicomposting, chickens, canning/preserving, foraging/wild edibles, DIY herbal body care products, fish skin tanning, making cordage, weaving, nature crafting, nature connection, bird watching, Atlatl and archery.

This page will be updated regularly as we are busy filling our 2026 teaching schedule with plans to teach more classes in our local community in western Montana. If you’re interested in a class on a specific topic, please contact us to discuss creating a class tailored to your specific interests.

If you are interested in having me present or teach at an event, please contact me at Annie@montanahomesteader.com
