Our weather has finally warmed up and the snow is melting! We spent a few hours outside this afternoon mapping out our new garden area in the middle pasture. The ground is thawing which means we can start tilling the land and clearing the weeds. I’m pretty excited because this new garden will be the biggest garden space I’ve ever had!
We are planning to have a section of the garden be Little A’s place to nurture her green thumb. We’ve been reading toddler books about gardening and she is excited! Last summer Little A wasn’t even two so she mainly sat in the garden digging holes and playing with “wormies”. This year she’s looking forward to growing her own pumpkin and gourd patch!
There were some really great gardening posts shared at last week’s Green Thumb Thursday. I loved this post Gardening With Children: From Seedling to Harvest from Mom Prepares and picked it for this week’s featured post. This post reviews all aspects of gardening and gives tips and tricks specific to gardening with kids.
