Mighty Nest Fall Baking Giveaway
When fall rolls around and the temperatures start to drop, I start spending more time in the kitchen baking some of our favorite homemade fall treats. I love using homegrown pumpkin from our garden to make pumpkin bread and pumpkin pie. A recent favorite has been using homegrown zucchini in some delicious zucchini carrot muffins. Just yesterday I made a big batch of apple crisp and baked a loaf of homemade sunflower seed bread.
I grew up baking in the kitchen with my mom and have many fond memories of all the tasty meals and delicious sweet treats we made. She taught me how to cook and bake at a young age and I am blessed to be passing these skills on to Little A. Yesterday when I mentioned I was going to make apple crisp, Little A ran to the apron drawer with a huge smile on her face. She is always so excited to help out in the kitchen. Just like gardening with a toddler, cooking and baking with a toddler can take longer and be a bit messier but it is well worth it in the end!
