We finally finished installing our new greenhouse so the next step is starting seeds. Each year I sort through the seeds I’ve chosen for our garden and have to decide which to start from seed, which to seed directly into the ground before the last frost date and which ones must be planted after the last frost. I go through the same time consuming process every year of sorting my seeds and figuring out a garden planting schedule.
I don’t know why it never occurred to me to actually write this all down to make the process easier every year. I’m normally quite organized and well known as a list maker. When I read this week’s featured post When to Plant What from Northern Homestead I was inspired to actually sit down and write out a garden planting schedule. Funny how I never thought of doing this before! Be sure to check out Northern Homestead’s great post that also explains which vegetables are best to plant when in a northern climate like Montana.
